Runway Inspired Challenge #32

Hey there!  I'v got a special treat for you today, a little something out of the ordinary for me...
I've been invited by the amazing Jennifer Rzasa to guess design for this weeks Runway Inspired Challenge.  And I couldn't be more thrilled to participate!  Check out the details here and the inspiration below...
It all begins with the inspiration, straight off the runway. Being a lover of fashion and keeping with the trends, I've been a fan of this challenge ever since it began.
There were a few pieces of inspiration I instantly found from the runway shot above... First, the question mark.  Second, the shimmer/bling of the question mark.  Third, the bright pink and black color combo.
Here's how I interpreted them...  First, I scoured my Studio Calico Snippets and Sundrifter collections for a few punctuations and a sentiment.  Second, I knew exactly what I wanted to use for the bling, some Studio Calico ultra faceted gems.  Third, I whipped out my Hero Arts Pale Tomato ink (This ink may have pale in its name, but to me I think it takes on a beautifully vibrant appearance) and used it to stamp the banner from the Bountiful Banners set (This stamp set is a must!  And this card illustrates just how perfectly these banners fit so well in any situation).  Then the black ink pad came into play to help me ink up the two wood veneer punctuations.

For some reason the bottom circle has turned out a bit more orangey in the picture than in real life, so let's pretend it coordinates a little better than is shows here.  :)

That's it from me.  Now, you won't want to miss out on what the RIC design team has come up with.  This team is loaded to the brim with talent...

Also don't miss out on the chance to win a super prize, offered up by Ellen Hutson!  Again, all the detail are can be found here.

Thanks for Jennifer for let me join in the fun!

This set is exclusive for purchase with Rewards Points only, it cannot be purchased with cash. Birds & Blooms can be yours with the redemption of 24 Rewards Points. You can check out the Rewards details page here.

Now onto my sample...
Whimsical wreathes and birds on branches in bloom are the focus of the lovely set, but my focus for today is on the individual and tiny blooms which I've used to create a clean and simple single layer card.  I began by stamping the sentiment.  I just love this elegant font combo!  Don't you?!
Around the sentiment I stamped randomly an assortment of flower groupings in a pretty navy, aqua/mint and berry color combo.  Then I finished the card off with a few tiny rhinestones.

Papertrey Ink March Release Projects

The Papertrey Ink March countdown is about to come to an end and I'm here to share my final projects with you today. But, before I do, let me remind you that everything you've seen peeks of will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink beginning 10 pm EST tonight.

Now, let me get started!...
First up, Boutique Borders: Birthday by Dawn McVey.  I've paired it up with a chevron image from the To You From Me set.
I stamped half of the Boutique Border frame image and a sentiment onto the card front, stamped a few chevrons in a fun color combo and finished this one layer card off with some enamel dots.
Wonderful Words: Birthday designed by Heather Nichols.
Stamped a grouping of Mini Blooms images and then topped it with a die cut "birthday", a trimmed "wishes" and rhinestones.
Hello Foxy also designed by Heather Nichols.
This fox is the cutest thing ever!  After stamping and coloring her I centered an impressed heart and embellished with rhinestones.
Spring Hills designed by Nichole Heady.
I hand cut a couple rolling hills from green pattern paper, topped them with a mama sheep and her new baby and furnished their fury coats with a coating of glitter.
Polka Dot Parade #2 designed by Melissa Bickford.
I had a lot of fun trimming out "HELLO" and topping each letter upon a stem.
Comfort Food Additions designed by Lexi Daly.
This addition set is exactly what was needed for the previously released Comfort Food stamp set.  I love how fitting this stack of ice cream is for this new and fun sentiment.  Perfect for a birthday card!

Well, that's all of them!
